Oh no, not another cash challenge.
I took the dogs out this afternoon and I was reading on the way from my kindle about cash challenges and what punters generally do.
I give this some thought pretty much straight away and thought, why not. It’s the start of the season and this one on paper should be pretty successful.
Why is it going to be successful I hear you ask.
This challenge is to back football teams that are between 1.25 down to 1.10 in price in their matches. So because they are so lowly priced, they should win a lot of the time.
Now the rules.
1) The price must be between 1.10 and 1.25
2) The team must be a home team. The times I have seen heavily shortened odds lose playing away is a joke and there is no value whatsoever in backing those kinds of odds.
3) The starting stake will be £10
4) Every time the bank balance reaches a limit, I can not risk everything in that balance on one game.
The first £10 to £50 I can risk 100% of my betting bank.
The £50 to £100 I can risk 80% of my betting bank.
The £100 to £250 I can risk 70% of my betting bank.
The £250 to £500 I can risk 60% of my betting bank.
The £500 to £1000 I can risk 50% of my betting bank.
The £1000 to £2500 I can risk 35% of my betting bank.
The £2500 to £5000 I can risk 25% of my betting bank.
The £5000 to £10,000 I can risk 20% of my betting bank.
Those stakes are to protect my betting bank from over exposure. Putting £6,000 on one bet at 1.25 might be good for the bank balance, but not so good for my heart. This way also protects me from going broke with one bad result.
The challenge is to try and get past the £10,000 mark, but all I am going to do is see how far I can get before the end of the new season.
5) I must try and post my selections on the blog before they kick off. This is so people who read my blog can also copy my bets. A simple screenshot is enough.
6) I must keep the running balance up to date so anyone can see exactly how far I have been successful.
7) After a loss, I must drop back to the rule for my new balance.
That’s pretty much covers it all. I have decided to do this challenge on Paddy Power. It’s got to be an account I do not use for anything else and Paddy Power is just that account.
